Main Facilities:
TET's traditional
hot rolling strip assembly is as semi-continuous mode, consisting
of one or two sets of roughing mill and finishing mills, including
one or two sets of roughing mills, three sets of vertical edger's,
three sets of 2-hi mill and four sets of 4-hi finishing mills.
TET, as requirements
of market and customer, have developed new technology of thin
slab compact processing continuous casting and continuous rolling
(CSP) of medium and narrow strip, the new technology will greatly
reduce investment costs under the same capacity, and production
cost will also decrease more than RMB 150-200/ton than traditional

Features of medium
and narrow strip CSP:
Right now, most of
hot rolling production lines still use traditional rolling process.
As CSP technology originated, rolling process became much more
compact, investment, facilities ad energy consumption would
be decreased, and high yield and quality would be obtained,
the production line built up or revamped with S\CSP technology
will obviously decrease and increase yield, it is shown in production
that CSP technology will decrease production cost of RMB340
per ton compared to traditional rolling process, energy consumption
will reduce 50kg equivalent coal in per ton steel, iron oxide
quality will obviously improve, and construction period will
be shortened. Through decreasing facility investment, the length
of production line and facility cost, the more advanced technology
will be used in production line in order to promote product
quality and competition power in market. 2. The thinner steel
strips can be produced.
For example, TET's
CSP technology can produce the thinnest hot steel strip of 1.2mm
and accomplish the replacement of cold strip with hot strip.
